Happy Monday

Last day of the holidays for BB and me. The poor Tiger was back at work today. We had a quiet morning at home then headed off to Tantallon Castle. Did a bit of exploring. Terrified ourselves looking over the walls at the sheer drops. Enjoyed the views from the top of the castle. Watched a boat pass behind the Bass Rock. The sun had broken through and the haar was lifting, but it still wasn’t terribly clear.

We went into North Berwick for lunch. BB had his heart set on lunch at the café that was closed the last time we were here. Hurrah, it was open. We had lunch and the owner presented him a small bowl of jelly and ice cream to finish off. Much happiness – even though he doesn’t like jelly! Wandered down to the beach. It was lovely in the sunshine as long as you were well wrapped up.

Home via the supermarket and then he was out in the back garden kicking a ball about in the late afternoon sunshine. Sitting in school all day tomorrow will be a bit of a shock to the system I think.
