Morris Dancing

The Thxated Morris Men in full flight (well almost) whilst performing one of their routines up at the Bullring in the village. They were supported by the Devil's Dyke Morris men.

Thaxted Morris Men are the oldest revival Morris side in the country their formation in 1911 encompassing characteristics of the very beginnings of the first Morris revival. Thaxted with its large annual Morris weekend (31st May this year) and its strong connection with Thaxted church is regarded as the spiritual home of the Morris.
