A Day on the Moors ..

I drove to Scarborough very early this morning, to meet Steve who was taking me on a guided Safari around the North York Moors as a thank you for letting him photograph the foxes in the garden..

I had a great day - saw my very first ring ouzels and saw a wheatear, golden plovers, millions of meadow pipits, red grouse, red legged partridges ..

But oddly, the best photo of the day was as I drove home. Here's a female sparrowhawk eating a white dove/pigeon on a bowling green.

The groundsman's going to be peeved!
