This zipping life!-Monomonday
Over to Queen Elizabeth national park this afternoon in search of a Monomonday Transport blip.
As luck would have it the zip-wire had queues of people waiting to jump off.
But photographing them in action proved a bit trickier because they went at a fair speed. In the end I settled for this one.
The emphasis on safety and relative security of the whole adventure contrasted sharply with my own experience in the Caribbean on the island of Dominica. There it was a much more dangerous, and its since been stopped for both safety and ecological reasons.
I still remember the mattress strapped to the tree incase the brake didn’t work as you came into land.
And the very overweight American woman who refused to give her weight and her safety harness wouldn’t fasten properly.
Yet she jumped.
The guide suggested I went first.
