Straight from the Horses Mouth.

We took the girls over to the Helix this evening thinking that the big crowds would have gone home. I suspect half of Falkirk district had the same idea!
Those Kelpies are as of today open for business and the day which started cool and misty ended mild and beautifully sunny. The park was choc-a-bloc with walkers, cyclists, scooterists and dogs but oddly not a skateboard in sight. Thank goodness!
It was pretty well impossible to get a photo of the big heads - the "mane" attraction- without several people in the road and every other one had a camera. There must have been a Blipper or two there forby us!
Any negatives? There is a narrow moat round the base of each head and there are no guard rails. The unwary or kiddies could end up in the drink! We spotted a couple of dogs enjoying a cool dip so they were not that deep but still deep enough.
There were bins but I don't think quite enough of them.
Maybe small things but "the devil is in the detail".
