Jammy situation

I have continued my training to become a Domestic Goddess today. This is my strawberry jam in its early stages. Strawberries were all reduced in Tesco this morning and as I had decided to do afternoon tea at the party I'm planning for Mom and Dad's diamond wedding anniversary in June, I decided to get jammy. Had to go and beg a few jams jars first , read the instructions and then I leapt in (Not literally of course!) An incredible amount of sugar for a few strawberries later, total disbelief that the gungy dry mixture was ever going to become jam, a broken plate when it fell out of the freezer where it had been put to chill for setting wrinkle testing (As per instructions), and I have nearly 4 pounds of strawberry jam. A bit disappointed that the strawberries have come to the top of the jars in spite of following instructions to stop this happening. Never mind, it can be put into a dish and stirred up when serving! THEN I made fruit scones! Super handyman husband had to test one and pronounced them satisfactory. All totally incompatible with Slimming World of course, but hopefully there will be enough people around to eat them when they come out of the freezer at the start of June.

Need to find out how to do a whole salmon now! Got a few weeks to work on that one.

Hope you have all had a good bank holiday Monday.
