Hallerbos 2014

A very early start for me as I wanted to get to the Bluebell forest for sunrise which was at 6.37am this morning. When I arrived there were only a few souls there but they were armed with tripods, multiple cameras and all kinds of gadgets measuring the light so I felt a bit silly just wondering around with my entry level camera and very limited knowledge! However the forest was beautiful and very peaceful so I enjoyed pottering around looking for good places to take photos. Needless to say I took loads and I'm not convinced that I've selected my best one but I like the way the light is coming through the trees casting shadows on the bluebells.

Once home I breakfasted and then we walked to the local swimming pool which we've not been to before. We were pleasantly surprised as it was clean and light, had great pools for swimming and it had a long water slide. I was a bit of a scaredy cat at first and just watched the kids and hubby go up and down a few times but then Dex promised to look after me and held my hand as we climbed the steps to the top. He was so earnest checking that I was okay and once I'd been down once there was no stopping me! We all giggled and wriggled and perfected our moves to go as fast as we possibly could down the slide. I think we'll be going back this week!
