Scooby Doo Scary Mansion

When Al can up this morning to my room and said, 'Mum, can we make - ', I immediately said 'Yes!' because I love to make anything.

Anyway, he wanted to make a haunted house, so we did. Betsy went over to her Uncles to stay and we set to work. We were at it for four hours. It has two floors, interior doors, a trapdoor, an attic with a Mummy in it, a balcony, steps to the front door, a secret door out of the cellar, a gravestone with a ghost rising from the grave, a trunk with a ghoul that pops out when you open it, rocks outside and bats and cobwebs everywhere. We had such a good time making it!

Later we were planning to watch a movie, Al had chosen some X Men thing, but we had a power cut. It was great, because we got the candles out, cooked sausages, cracked open a bottle of wine and played board game after board game all evening by candle light. It was brilliant fun!

Such a wonderful day.
