Looking South along the Kaikoura Coast

We drove up to Kekerengu from Kaikoura today, appalled at the devastation that last week's storm has left. It's no wonder the road and railway line were closed. It's been pouring with rain and we're hoping fervently that the road won't close again as we're supposed to be heading to Blenheim tomorrow for the PSNZ Convention.

The image was captured as we drove back south to Kaikoura, stopping on the roadside at many points to grab our cameras! I hope I've marked the map at the correct point - it'll give you an idea anyway.
