Getting ready

We went down into Verteillac for our morning coffee tho the bakers is closed on Tuesdays but the butcher sells croissants on those days. I had hoped to feel hungrier after the fast day yesterday but bizarrely it seems to have the opposite effect.

Anyway although it looks deserted here the village is getting ready for a big celebration this summer a Felebre must check I have spelt that correctly It is a huge fete and the one here is to celebrate the Occitane connection. It happens every 4o years but sadly well and not sadly simultaneously we are back in the UK for one of my step daughters weddings at that very time this year. I hope however we will see some of the decorations as they go up supported by some of these huge concrete blocks that are appearing in the area.
