A Bridge Too Far
Bingley, W. Yorks. UK
This little mock bridge, is I think, another folly built for the amusement of Victorian ladies on their strolls around the St Ives Estate near Bingley. My feeling is that it was maybe built to resemble something from the Willow Pattern or from some influence of 'Chinoiserie'.
The weather in Bingley closed in today after an apparent early summer, but now, late on in the day the sun struggles to reveal itself. My spirits lift and fall dramatically with the sun.
