All puffed up...

This robin was all puffed up to keep out the cold this morning. He has been hanging around our back door for a few weeks now. He's got his territory well marked out and the pretender to his throne has clearly given up the challenge. (We used to see the two of them squabbling from time to time).

He is getting bolder by the day and he stays around even when I go outside and point a lens at him...

... although my guess is that it might also have something to do with the fact that he's learned there's food on the go. Just plain cupboard love!

PS Sorry I haven't been commenting much lately - too much going on just now. Thanks for everybody's kind words over the last few days. Will hopefully be back in full swing soon.
