Maple blooms

This is a maple in bloom, with leaves already fully out. It's remarkable how lush the landscape is looking after a good mix of sun and rain. Today I am thankful for the sun.

We took our walk today with our son, who is the last of our Easter visitors. He is leaving today and when we next see him it will be just before we move to our new home. He will be staying with us this summer and we are looking forward to his help in getting us moved and settled. In return for food and lodging of course!
