Achnacarry

It was a big long site day but thankfully one close to home. Of slightly scary interest a man uncovered a WW2 grenade with his metal detector a stone’s throw from here at the weekend. Military experts came up from the Clyde and disposed of it in a controlled explosion. The discovery wasn’t altogether surprising as this entire area was used for WW2 Commando training and a huge camp once existed here.
