Easter Monday
Another day off work and another glorious sunny day (after a chilly start). We started off with a visit to Larbert to deliver a first birthday card to Kyle. Ed had to stay in the car with Conor, because he was asleep. But so was the birthday boy, so we didn't even see him. Orla and Brodie had a nice wee play in the garden though.
Afterwards we headed to the playground at the foot of the Wallace Monument. They both loved it, although Conor was determined to get into the football pitch. Then we went to Bridge of Allan. After a drink and an ice cream we discovered that we could get down on to the bank of the Allan Water. There were loads of kids in the river, so Orla was desperate to go for a paddle. What a great thing to do on a bank holiday! I introduced Conor to the joys of throwing stones in the water. He got a bit manic about it and ended up digging holes with his hands to scoop up stones. He was not happy about being dragged away.
But - he was happy with out next destination, the Peak. No tears this time, he had an absolute ball in the pool. And in the changing rooms, although it was a bit stressful for me when he tried to slide under the door.
Lots of quality family time this Easter weekend. I am so grateful,
