The perfect shop...
Time for another big shop today nothing special just the usual supermarket adventure. This takes us around four hours so it's a bit of a day out.
Two highlights of the day - so far.
We popped back to the new beach we found last week just before the Mother of All Showers hit and then off to the Last Old Fashioned Ironmongers in the World, aka The Marine Stores.. Who always (almost) have everything in stock that you need. No bubble packs for them, no , they sell screws and nails by weight or individual amounts.
Purchases:
1 Ball of string
2 Sheets of sandpaper - you can buy them individually - how sensible is that.
1 Gas container for the wok cooker ( also doubles as the canoe trip stove)
1 Pair of kitchen scissors
1 Small tin of concrete paint
1 12 Cup glass liner for Bodum coffee press
My test question, 'Do you have an anchor in stock?'
answer 'What size would you like?'
One of the workers also doubles up as a Lifeboat Crew Member. This is just the perfect little shop.
