Oozels Square Birmingham
As the conference didn't start until lunch time and the weather was good I decided to take a walk and look for some interesting blips. I walked up Broad Street cut through Oozels Square, dropped back through Central Square to the canal and then walked along the tow path of the Birmingham Canal Old Line towards Ladywood Middleway.
One of the things which always intrigues me about Birmingham is the contrast in architectural styles that you come across at every turn. The contrast in Oozels Square is no exception. The centre of the square is reminiscent of a japanese garden.
For the rest of the day the formal parts of the conference went as expected with the inauguration of the new President etc. Again the evening was spent with the Cumbrian delegates meeting for a meal and to socialise on Broad Street.
