Apollo Victoria - Detail

Back in London today after driving 800 miles over the Easter weekend. On the way home from work I spotted this exterior detail on the fabulously Art Deco Apollo Victoria theatre.

I wonder if this would have been someone recognisable when the theatre was built in 1929?
