SEEKING ENLIGHTENMENT

Attempting to blend in with the local population
we travelled by train to the capital city.
The walls shimmered with heat
and peasants made a living selling water on the street corners.
We walked the city
visiting all their grand temples
and places of worship.
Seeking enlightenment
along with all the rest of the pilgrim hordes.
