The Deep Fried Mars Bar

It was my son?s birthday today, so to celebrate we went to a local restaurant with friends and family, said son selected the venue.

Only two from our group decided to have a sweet. Son and friend decided to have that traditional Scottish delicacy, the deep fried Mars Bar washed down with Irn Bru.

Only a teenager could contemplate eating such a thing, I have no idea how many calories are in it, but it was his birthday and I don?t suppose one a year can be that bad.

Had our first real fall off snow this evening, watched some local kids roll a snowball down the road to the foot of the hill where it is now stranded; it must be about 6ft Diameter. Cars are treating it as a roundabout.

Having watched a few cars getting stuck in the snow outside my house, we decided not to venture to our church this evening which was a pity as the local brass band were providing the music
