Orange Tip

I spotted this orange tip butterfly in the garden this afternoon. Hoped it might settle somewhere a bit more photogenic than the messy wild flower part of the garden.

The cuckoo flower is a lovely flower for it to settle on , but the grasses around it are messy so not the best background for this tiny beauty ( no bigger than a new 50 p )
A wee bit of toning down the shados helped but doesn't really disguise all the weedy type grasses etc.
