Its party time!

So, being an elf this year meant I was one of the work Christmas party organisers.

The party was based on us not having a massive budget this year, so we gave it a 1940's theme and it was all about rationing during the war! We sent daytime invites out, which had a ration coupon and instructions for bringing some food to the party.

After lunch we led everyone into the Board Room which we had secretly transformed with bunting, old school table cloths and the like. Everyone was split into teams and were given a 'craft box' full of odds and ends. They had to make a Christmas decoration and we had prizes for the best ones, (winners top right!). Then we had game stations set up - scrabble, charades, etc, and teams worked to collect points.

They all knew they'd be getting fed in the evening, but some had assumed that we were getting caterers into the office so we just didn't put them right. What was actually happening was far better! We had taxis come and collect everyone and take them to an 'unknown' location. We had nibbles and bubbles in the reception then the main doors opened to reveal the underground vault which was all set up for dinner. We had a 3 course meal, Secret Santa etc. Everyone got suitably giddy and seemed to have enjoyed the day. (That's me bottom left with new hair!)

It was my mam's birthday today. Happy Birthday mam, see you soon xxx
