Bougainvillea
I have many, many photos of Bougainvillea in bloom. They are so colorful and extremely plentiful here in Mexico, so I often shoot them on the way to capture something else. I was walking to the beach to get more sunset images this evening, when this collection of dropped bracts (yes I looked it up, turns out the very small white part is the flower and the colorful stuff, specialized leaves called bracts) caught my eye. I was in a hurry as the sun was dropping fast, so did not pause on the way to but rather stopped on the way from. I therefore had to increase the ISO of my camera to ensure sharp handheld images of these interesting textures. Fortunately, I had my 6D along and so 1600 was no problem, especially with a little Lightroom noise reduction applied to this my favorite image of the series. A different view of this beautiful flowering plant.
