Oystercatchers at Lake of Menteith.

Since it was supposed to be the best of the day early this morning, we nipped out sharp and headed up to the Lake to see what was happening. We just stepped out onto the little stone jetty when we spotted this pair of oystercatchers taking a rest on the far end. They allowed us to approach about half way up the jetty before they took off.
This afternoon we had Ali, Euan and Eve up for dinner which was great fun. Poor old Euan though tripped up while being a high-speed train and bumped his head. A few tears followed and he just wanted to go home. Wee man!
Isla is also back home so Rona has us all to herself again.
