The Sheep with the Pearl Bracelet

A was a sheep in our church's annual Christmas Pageant today. She was completely adorable, the production itself was short & sweet with impressive costumes and a message of peace, and we loved being there surrounded by the dear ones who came to support A - aunts, an uncle, an aunt's mom, and neighbors, the family of A's best friend.

One of the best moments was when we realized that as is typical, A had infused her fashion sense even in a situation where she was instructed to wear solid black beneath her sheep costume - she had added a pearl bracelet, visible in this photo.

When the sheep were led into the sanctuary, all in costume and with their faces painted, my sister-in-law leaned over to me and whispered, "At first I wasn't sure I'd be able to tell A from the others - but then I noticed the pearls and I thought, 'That has to be her!'" Sure enough . . .
