St George's Day

Work was uneventful save that most were back in, including miserable M. It was still quiet though so I got through a reasonable amount in my half day.

When I got home at 2pm I lay down for 15 minutes to listen to the Archers and then ... woke up at 5pm. This cold has really knocked me out energy wise.

As it was St George's Day and my sister in law and nieces were dancing with their Morrris side, I went over to Chacombe to the George & Dragon pub, where else? C and S were there with Teddy and I got to have a cuddle with the cutie. We had a very decent pub dinner of various burgers and chips (served on boards) and then went out into the quiet road in the light drizzle to see them carry on an ancient English tradition of dancing on St George's Day. Such a shame there were only very few of us to witness it but I admire them for persevering in the face of dwindling interest and keeping the old tradition alive. My blip is of my niece, H, in full Morris flow.

It was a bit chilly when I headed home to catch up with some Masterchef and I'm feeling snotty again. Goodness knows if I'll sleep tonight though after a 3 hour 'nap' this afternoon....
