Dr. Merrill Magnolia

I originally blipped this as a fuzzy bud back in March. This is a type of magnolia that flowers before any leaves appear. It is lovely and also has a lovely aroma. One of my favorites of our trees. I'll probably try to get a good blip of the open flower also.

Windy, gray, drizzly day and the temperatures were 20 degrees lower than the past few days. Typical April around here. Tomorrow should be better.
