half a squirrel

seeing one of our lovely red squirrels digging for nuts hidden in the lawn this morning, I grabbed the nearest camera (a canon powershot I used to use before i got my DSLR) with telephoto lens and tried to capture it before it sprinted off. The squirrel sat up proudly and I took my shot. I have absolute admiration for Canon, but bridge cameras do not click the shutter straight away and so there is a delay and by the time the camera took the shot, it had ducked down into the lawn again. It then ran off towards the woods so this is all I got!

I am determined though and will capture him or her better next time.
