Dandelion Wine?

I learned from a couple of Blip-buddies that St George's Day used to be a day they took off school to pick dandelions for making wine with... I'd heard of that practice before, but had never been involved in it. Well the day after St George's Day dawned and all the dandelions were tightly closed up as the sky was grey and the sun was nowhere to be seen. When the sun finally came out about two hours ago they all perked up again and opened their faces to the sky. It seems to be a good year for dandelions this year - they are looking very big and bright yellow and are making a lovely display on the verges and in my garden. I must remember to cut them down before they go to seed this year!
