Go with the flow

A trip back to Smardale today - push the rehab on a bit further ahead of tomorrows meeting with the trainer. Thought we'd try and take the back lanes - let the satnav guide us along the road less travelled.
I did (for the briefest moment) think about posting a shot of the satnav directing us across this ford - but hey - that's the kind of quirkiness that we set off looking for. I was quite happy to drive in - then I saw that rather than the bed of the river - the ford was actually a raised concrete 'road' and only a few inches wider than our car - fine with these low levels - but I bet thats caught folk out when the rivers been higher & its not as easy to see.
We stopped to admire the view half way across & I was taken with the lazy ripples our passage sent back up against the flow of the water, so that became todays Blip.
