A red letter day in Chester
My mother hasn't been well enough to walk any distance for a long time and has not been able to visit Chester for at least eighteen months.
After a new heart valve in December and four months of strength and confidence building she was able to come to Chester today to do some shopping - hence her red letter day.
It could have ended very differently when a wheel of her walker caught in a hole in the very uneven road surface and she ended up on the ground. Luckily she wasn't hurt and two very kind men helped to get her up and pick up the parcels.
This is her sitting in the Cathdral grounds enjoying the day out.
