Mountain village

We did another walk today.  It was 11 degrees C when we got out of the car, rather chilly and there was a strong wind blowing.  This is a picture of one of the mountain villages here on the island.  If you look closely, you can see the areas where potatoes are growing.  The main crops here are vines and potatoes but the island also has some  banana plantations which used to be a very popular industry for the locals.  We passed a few houses where the locals still make pots by hand from the local clay.
