small, and far away

I have just discovered that there is a wildlife reserve about five minutes drive from my house. I don't know how I managed to miss this, but I plan to make the most of it. However the bids were very uncooperative today and although I did spot some yellow wagtails and possibly a reed bunting, nothing stayed still for long. Hence a long shot of a morose, solitary moor-hen.
