Winter Solstace

The Solstace is at 17:47 in Glasgow tonight. The sun rose at 08:46 and set at 15:44, but we didn't see it all day. Overcast, and many snow flurries.

Here is the only rose in the garden, which I think looks beautiful set against a snowy background, with melted ice amongst the petals.

Tomorrow we have tickets for We Will Rock You in Edinburgh - looks like another challenging car journey on the M8 - the last one was on 25 November when it took two and a half hours to drive 50 miles on a motorway. I heard on the news that there have been issues with lack of gritting. No gritting near our house either - oh well, at least the bins are being emptied more regularly - end of rant.
