Lava
Picked up the hire car at lunchtime and headed over to Timanfaya National Park for some volcanic action. Spectacular landscapes and very impressive. I was kind of under the impression that the landscape had been there for millions of years but no, only for about the last 300. Apparently activity these days is 'minimal' and 'not significant'. That's alright then.
Us newly-mobile family got back to the villa about six which just coincided with our favourite time of the day when the light and the temperature is just beautiful. Us grown-ups took a sun lounger each, got a couple of cold ones out of the fridge and told the girls that they could do what they liked until the sun dipped down behind the far buildings in about an hour and a half, we weren't for budging. Parenting in action.
Poolside listening.
