Becketts Farm xxx

Had such a lovely day today.
First of all, we all slept in til gone 8.30, so that was great :-)
We knew we wanted to all go out and do something together this morning, but we still hadn't decided upon what. In the end, we rang Becketts, and reserved a table for 3 plus a highchair, for breakfast at 10.45, and thought we'd go round and see the animals in the Easter barn afterwards. Sue had already said her and Bebe were going too, so I called her to find out what time they'd be there, and the timings worked out perfectly.

We ordered the platter for breakfast, oh my word, there was so much food! While we were waiting for it to arrive, Eva quite happily drew on the little activity sheet with the wax crayons that were there. When it came, I cut one of the sausages up into little cubes and added some potato, some baked beans, some bacon and some toast and Eva ate the lot! She thoroughly enjoyed it.

We then went over to meet Sue and Bebe outside the barn and Jake pushed Eva in her pushchair to start with. He was pushing her round and round in circles and Eva absolutely loved it! Inside the barn there were calfs, lambs, birds, alpacas, donkeys, Pygmy goats and little baby chicks. Every child had the chance to have their photo taken holding a little chick, so today's pic shows me, Eva and Jake holding our chicks. We all had such a lovely time. It was so wonderful to have Jake out with us doing something fun, him and Eva absolutely adore each other. There were so many pics I had to choose from for today's pic, as there were pics of Eva cuddling Jake, a great one of him pushing her round in her pushchair and she's got a massive grin on her face, but I love today's pic so much, I didn't want to make it smaller by doing a 'diptic'.

Eva had her sleep as soon as we got back and my mom came round just as she woke up, so it was lovely to have a catch up with my mom and for her to see Eva and the photos from Becketts.

Had a great time playing with Eva this afternoon. She was actually blowing bubbles herself as Mike held the bubble wand. A bit later, as she was playing, I said to her "where's Eva's book?" and she crawled over and got her book. I then said "where's your water, Eva?" and she went and picked up her water cup and started drinking. I then said "where's Eva's nose?" and quick as a flash, she pointed straight to her nose, I was blown away. All in quick succession too. She even today said "dada" as she was touching Mike's arm. So my heart has nearly exploded on numerous occasions today, it's been wonderful. Xxx
