Christchurch on a Autumn's Day
After a shower of rain this morning it turned out a wonderful warm Autumn's day. I took a short walk around the city this afternoon, the Autumn leaves looked so wonderful blowing in the wind. Most of my shots were taken in Victoria Sq and it was hard to know which one to put up .. so thought another college may work best again.
On the top row, left is a shot of Cathedral sq and the one on the top right is of anew building going up. . This is what it looked like on March 29, 2014. Oct 2013 Nov 2012 with the coffee van and here in April 2011 just after the Feb earthquake.
The middle shots and the bottom left were all taken in Victoria Sq. The stature you can see is of James Cook and it wasn't damaged in the earthquakes.
The shot of the bottom right is what is left of the Victoria sq apartments. As you can see all that is left is rubble. Here is the blip I did last Friday and here is one I did on April 15.
The background shot is of reflections in the Avon River.
