Big Blue

Lots of Cumulus around throughout today with some powerful sunlight breaking through - which in short means one of my favourite photographic days!

Glad I waited though as towards late afternoon some enormous cumulonimbus monsters appeared and created the most dramatic sunset scenes. Could have had at least 20 different angles on this one enormous cloud that just lingered giving the setting sun opportunity break through.

Chose this one as the colours and detail were stunning. although don't seem to be able to take a photo without a lamppost in it at the moment.

Just at sunset when the sun sank below the lowest level cloud there was an amazing panorama of blue/white clear skies on one side mixing to deep blue and black cumulonimbus and a base of purest orange in the clear band of sky below the clouds layer. Just magic.
