A Suffolk Eye

Can't get enough

O the bluebells are so beautiful this year.

And the venerable walled woods at Freston in particular are more beautiful than you can imagine - a wave of blue at the top, breaking over about half a mile of ancient ancient coppicing into a spume of starry wild garlic flower at the bottom.

Ahhh - it is very heaven.

I was on my way to the Suffolk County Council Chairman's reception and was dressed all all smart (anyway, as smart as I do) but I just had to stop off round the corner to walk the half mile or so down the hill and drink in the beautiful sight and scent of these ancient woods in spring.
