Paradise Shell Ducks

Beautiful mild afternoon and a walk round the wetlands provided some birdie photos. This pair of Paradise Ducks was sitting on the log where I got a photo of some mallards the other day. They were sitting in the sun preening. Every now and then dipping a beak into the water to help smooth their feathers. The female, with the white head, has a drip on her beak.
