Bare and black
Covered in leaves
Leaves are green…
Or russett or red

Tiny green shoot
developing fronds
Covered in buds
Beautiful flowers

Nature’s identities
many and varied
Hiding its face
Exquisite beauty

In a very short time this agapanthus bud will burst out of its plain clothes and become a beautiful ball of colourful flowers. Maybe I’ll blip it again in its other glorious identity.
