Apple Blossom Focus Stack

The blossom on our little apple tree (which produced about 6 apples last year!) is just beginning to open out so that the white petals are poking through the pink outer cover.

For this image I created a 'focus stack' of 12 different images using Photoshop. It is the first time I have tried this and am reasonably happy with the results.

There are a few bits out of focus and even though the morning was very still there was some very slight leaf movement. I tried to get my head around all the different masks that PS created to try and hide bits of double image - but gave up in the end and flattened the image and used clone stamp to fix it!
