Our hotel for the weekend

A grey, lowering sort of day. Wet in the morning while we were in the gym and grey when we came out.

A rushed hour at home saw us pack and have lunch ready to pick Doreen up and set off for Saxmundham in Suffolk. A dismal journey, wet and busy with long queues at the Dartford Tunnel.

Hotel seems OK, rooms are big and comfortable, not sure yet about the bar. By all accounts we're in for a treat with dinner - and breakfast in the morning.

Expect to be touring a wet Suffolk tomorrow - Snape Maltings, Aldebrough, Woodbridge, Orford and the RSPB Minsmere Reserve are on the menu.
