A Wheely Good Day
My day started with a long wait in telephone queue trying to get an appointment at the doctors. I eventually got to the front of the queue and got my slot. I whizzed along, sat for ages and then was eventually seen. The blood pressure in my right arm was fine. The blood pressure in my left arm was slightly high. Apparently this isn't unusual. Anyway, the doc did it for a third time and said she was happy that it was okay, thank goodness....but I have to go back next week for a fasting blood test. All I want is my knee sorting, I can't be doing with all this faffing about...sigh.
Things got better this afternoon though...I went into town had a mini blipmeet with Kathymay and PaulaJ. Paula was having a study day in Manchester's Central Library but fortunately she was happy to have a tea break and meet up with us. We had a cuppa and a chat in the cafe then went up to the fourth floor to see the sliding book shelves. We had a little fiddle with the buttons and sneaked a couple of pics as we asked made Kath squeeze between the shelves, we told her it was as wide as they would go hee hee...then sadly Paula had to go and get some more studying in. It was great to meet someone I chat with most nights...and as Paula stated, "All blippers are lovely people." Very true!
Kath and I went off to take some pics...but it was raining, the light was flat, poor Kath was coughing well and we weren't motivated by what we passed so somehow we ended up in the M&S cafe with a toasted sandwich in front of us...I don't know how that happened ha ha ha. We did have a wander around the Northern Quarter afterwards and took a few shots. Sometimes it isn't all about the photos, it is the meeting up with friends...old and new.
Whilst we were munching on our lunch we realised we had forgotten to get a photo of the three of us to record the blipmeet...Kath did contemplate nipping back to the library and sneaking up on Paula for a 'Click 'n' Run' pic but we decided we will get one on our next meet!
