A very early start - and very nearly an early bath

Up at six, showered and in a taxi by seven - hospital at 7.30 ..

To cut a long story short - they were short of an anaesthetist, so all my surgeon's patients were sent home - but due to my carerly circumstances they fitted me in which was very accommodating of them.

A weepy and nauseous evening was followed by a fairly good sleep.
