Roma Day 1
It's been a while since we have been rudely awakened by the alarm for an early morning wake up to catch a flight. Three thirty is the middle of the night!! Didn't fully come too till we went through security then sat at Nero with a coffee and muffin. I slowly came out of my zombie state!! Good thing about an early flight, and one that arrives 20 minutes ahead of schedule to the sound of the bugle, is that we were in the centre of Rome enjoying the sunshine and the amazing sights by 11.30!

Third visit to Rome, this time staying at the Trastevere area which is walkable to most of the sights. And walk we did.....

This magnifico gelato lived up to its looks. Ken tried to talk us out of getting an inferior ice cream earlier, talking about how magnificent this one was, but we didn't listen...... After offering us a taste of his and the sounds we were making after eating it, he went back and got two more - ohhhhhhh the taste.......
