Teachers Picture
With some tears shed, we said goodbye to The Goose's parents this morning in Hong Kong as we went back to Shenzhen and they flew back to The States. We had such an amazing time with them here and we know they left with a great sense of how we live our lives here in China.
The only thing I wish could have gone differently is the amount of stairs and walking everyone had to do just to get around. I'm also sorry to them for not exposing them to a bad meal (loads of sarcasm here). They were expecting at least one bad meal but they royally lucked out, and found some amazing places to continue going to ourselves.
Upon our arrival back to Shenzhen and our school, we were informed that all the teachers would be gathering to take a picture for the school yearbook. This year is special because it marks the 10th anniversary of the school come Dec. 29. It took a long time to get all the teachers here in the right order, and of course we stood our as we were the token foreigners right smack in the middle of the picture. After a few shots were taken, we were asked to leave (In typical Chinese bluntness) because our clothes did not match the rest of the teachers uniforms. We got a good smile out of it and wonder if we will be represented in the yearbook or not. We shall see....
