As they fall

8:30am and inflating a tyre.

After a mildly-sore hip yesterday, I was hesitant to do an epic cycle commute. Then i slept in anyway and opted for the train. Then missed the train.

Got off early to cycle a bit and see how it went. Gently along the cycle path, bit of a headwind, nothing too shabby then psssasst. Nice wee shard of glass through the contact point of the front wheel.

As I've been swapping bikes over the last few weeks based on the weather conditions, the saddle bag was missing patches, but a spare (patched up) was available. My pump was less than helpful.

Fortunately one of the many many passing cycling a who offered help had a Presta-enabled pump. And that was that. Trundled into work.

Lots done today, cleared a fair amount of backlog and found homes for things that didn't really fit with our team.

A nice evening of chat, food, children and getting things done too.

Grateful for the weekend ahead.
