Jay's Wildscapes

The Colour of my Winter

Today's weather is very possibly going to scupper my plans. I'm tempted to be despondent about the situation.

A wander along the lake edge, in thrall of the biting snow and chasing light.

I saw a great beauty and calmness descend on the home of my ancestors.

I drunk it in. Letting the calm seep deep into my soul, and connect with my own essence.

In the midst of these trees my family was born.

I gave in to the inevitability of nature's hold. Plans can be remade, but day's like this can't.
