the ears say it all

Our neighbour has several dogs. This one is a retired avalanche dog, he is so so intelligent and friendly. I have tired to catch her face and ears that lift right up so expressively.

Saw the end of the Epic round Lake Hawea race. Because of recent rain the river at the top of the lake was up so it was actually out and back which made it a bit tight on the track, especially with the large sharp rocks the riders had to go over. I walked this a few years ago and it is not my idea of fun riding.
